Job Description:

BW Papersystems is looking for a Shipping / Receiving Associate to join our team!

As the Shipping/Receiving Associate, you will perform a variety of checking and administrative duties connected with the shipment of parts, units and products to outside processors and customers, and the return of defective goods to vendors.  Maintain minimum inventories of packaging supplies, electrical components and hardware. In this role, you will work with purchasing and supervision to maintain and order replacements as necessary.  Conduct parts picking to fulfill repair orders and supply sub assembly cells with necessary parts and hardware.

Essential Functions:

  • Work from shipping notices, packing list and assembly prints to identify and match shipping papers with parts to be shipped to subcontractors, processors or customers. 

  • Notify crater of shipping needs and assist to package parts.  Use overhead crane to move and position material for shipment.  Fill in and apply prepared labels to shipment indicating customer, shipping destination and reference number.  Cut stencils when required.  Complete necessary red books sign off to ensure quality of work and report any unforeseen delivery and quality issues immediately. 

  • Notify group leader of completion of work and request an audit for accuracy. 

  • Apply necessary labels and caution tags as required by either prints or structures. 

  • Package all necessary spares parts and hardware required for set up installations, as well as proper paperwork such as prints, manuals, and diagrams.  Use scales as necessary to weigh shipments.

  • Identify crate requirements and build crates as required utilizing band saws, pneumatic scales and staplers; apply protective coatings as needed.

  • Prepare requisition to replenish items such as boxes, paper, tape, strapping, etc.

  • Maintain effective liaison with other departments and interface with transportation companies regarding unusual delivery requirements, shipping delays or other matters.

  • Identify and match shipping papers with parts to be shipped to subcontractors, processors and customers

  • Working knowledge of multiple computer systems (Microsoft 365, MAPICS, UPS, AIT, and international programs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • 1+ years of industrial shipping/receiving experience

The approximate pay range for this position is $19/HR - $27/HR. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
