Responsibilities:
- Contribute to our proprietary robotics software package.
- Develop new optimization algorithms for positioning optical components.
- Improved software deployment systems. 
- Solve complex problems in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Test your solutions on real hardware.
- Collaborate with the Mechanical, Alignment, and Firmware R&D teams.

Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
- Object-oriented design experience.
- Software development experience in any of the following: C++, C#, VB, VBA, or Python.
- Experience with source control (git, SVN, mercurial, etc.)

To be considered for the scholarship, the first thing you need to do is apply for a Lumentum internship/co-op opportunity so you can be reviewed for a job with us.  To receive the DIB scholarship, you must complete an intern/co-op with Lumentum.
