Role Description

Looking for a “driving style” Manager with exceptional skills in communication to build and grow a team of aftermarket / aftersales service and product-as-a-service professionals in a global CoE.

As one of the Managers in the team, you will work closely with leadership to define the future team strategy, independently drive offering focus areas within Aftersales, develop new assets and offerings and deliver best-practice projects at our clients.

Focus will be on leveraging the full suite of your expertise in areas such as Aftermarket analytics, process automation, and IT / sensor enabled process enablement across the aftersales value chain (e.g., spare parts management, warranty management, field service management, MRO / predictive maintenance, service & repair management, connected service, spare parts pricing).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Be the project lead in client projects delivering best-in-class project results in Aftermarket / Product-as-a-Service for our clients across the globe

  • Get involved and drive business development opportunities to generate new project demand for the team

  • Lead a team of Analysts and Consultants, with a focus on developing talent, making great hires, and ensuring the CoE is a great place to work.

  • Develop relevant assets and offerings in Aftermarket areas including (but not limited to) aftermarket service operations optimization, spare parts management, warranty management, field service management, MRO / predictive maintenance, service & repair management, connected service and spare parts pricing.

  • Support the development of analytics-driven solutions in Aftermarket that meet our clients’ needs in innovative ways

  • Define the roadmap, business requirements, KPIs, and features for your offerings and content focus, and work with your team to drive and deliver these across the globe.

  • Become the “Go-to-person” in your expertise area amongst customers, analysts, and internal stakeholders in both individual and large group settings

  • Create "thought ware" and "point-of-view" documents related to the relevant assets and offerings

Preferred Experience

  • 10+ years of experience of working in aftermarket service operations space across the functional areas mentioned above

  • Minimum of 2+ years of consulting experience highly preferred

  • Techno-functional experience integrating the functional strategy and process layer with underlying technology solutions highly preferred

  • Experience in working in cross-functional and global teams, e.g., in large aftersales IT or analytics transformation programs

  • Have demonstrated project and team leadership including successfully defining and implementing digital strategies across all stages of the aftermarket value chain and different teams

  • Strong project management skills with focus on Agile methodology

  • General Manager / owner mentality, willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary

  • Strong technical acumen and understanding of emerging disruptive technologies, like cloud computing, IoT, complex event analysis, advanced analytics etc.

  • IT / technology experience in relevant cloud or software solutions, e.g., AWS, Azure, Service Planning Solutions like PTC Servigistics, Field Service Management Solutions like ServiceNow, ServiceMax or IFS

  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment where continuous innovation is desired.

  • Analytical and quantitative skills and the ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.

Key Skills

  • Strong aftermarket / aftersales expertise across the aftersales value chain

  • At least partial consulting experience as a MUST

  • Industry exposure: Industrial Equipment, High-Tech, Automotive, MedTech preferred

  • Exceptionally organized

  • Detail oriented

  • Good judgement in how to engage with senior stakeholders in project delivery and business development

  • Strong communication skills

  • Proactive and able to work independently

  • Sensitivity and skill at working with different cultures and styles

  • A highly motivated self-starter

  • MBA with Engineering background as a plus
