Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Assists program facilitator, both in person and/or virtually, with implementing program curriculum for one (1) or more of YAI’s Family Support group offerings, tracking attendance and may assist with updates to curriculum.

  • Engages with program participants of varying abilities and support needs both individually and as a group; prompts for participation and engagement based on program focus.

  • Ensures a safe and structured environment; completes facility set-up/clean-up for each session.

  • Communicates with program facilitator and/or supervisor as needed; escalates programmatic concerns and reports operational issues related to program equipment and facilities.

  • Interacts with family members; answers questions and reports issues and concerns to program facilitator and/or Supervisor.

  • Remains current with mandatory and other training, successfully completing within the required time frame.

  • Performs all other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualification Requirements including education, experience, licensure/certification, etc. and essential physical capabilities (e.g. lifting, assisting lifting, standing, etc.)

  • High School Diploma or GED; or

  • Satisfactory combination of education, experience and/or training.

  • Must be reliable, have excellent attendance, and be punctual.

  • Basic computer skills - including email, utilizing Workday and related systems (DA, etc.) to complete tasks.

  • Ability to complete room set up, including movement/sliding of tables, chairs and other equipment.

Preferred Qualification Requirements (desired requirements beyond MQRs above)

  • Advanced degree, training and/or certification in program focus preferred.

  • Experience working with people with I/DD.

Compensation: $17.25 hourly
