Make a real difference every day—join North End Waterfront Health and provide compassionate care to patients in the comfort of their own homes! We’re looking for dedicated homecare aide who are ready to bring empathy, reliability, and a passion for helping others, to our Elder Services team.

Our Elder Service department is committed to providing care in the home of our most frail elders. Our home care aide staff provide personal care and home making services to Boston's North End and West End neighborhoods.

The North End Waterfront Health, a member of the Massachusetts Community Health center network and an affiliate of Massachusetts General Hospital, extends its world-renowned health care services to people who live and work in and around Boston's North End. By working closely with schools, senior centers and many other organizations, we have shaped our services to truly benefit our community's growing population.

We are seeking a part-time, 20-hour home care aide to join our team, with opportunity up to 40 hours a week!!

This role involves visiting patients in North End and South End surrounding towns of Boston. Schedules are flexible and can be tailored to availability between Monday-Friday! The number of daily visits will vary based on the total hours worked each week. Day shift times ranging from 7am-6pm.

Summary:

Responsible for helping elders and other patients maintain a safe and clean home, including various housekeeping tasks, meal preparation and companionship activities for clients in their homes.

Does this position require Patient Care? Yes

Essential Functions:

-Doing the weekly grocery shopping.

-Cleaning, cooking, and doing the laundry.

-Advising household owners in housekeeping matters.

-Staying up-to-date nutrition and hygiene.

-Provide personal care, such as assisting with bathing, grooming, and mobility support.

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Clinical/Hospital/Managed Care Office Experience 1-2 years preferred or Patient Care Experience 0-1 year preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledgeable in patient care practices, including personal care, homemaking, and basic health care services.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Have good personal hygiene.
- Able to do light housekeeping.
- Good communication skills both written and oral.
