  Job Summary

We’re looking for someone to support the Operations Team with production planning and scheduling tasks along with various administrative tasks.  If you have strong Excel and admin. skills and a desire to gain in depth knowledge of production planning and scheduling in a complex manufacturing environment, this is an opportunity to take your career to the next level. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily and weekly forecasted volume reports to Production team
  • Create and maintain Master Production Schedule
  • Manage and maintain tools and information flow to allow efficient planning and execution according to the Master Production Schedule
  • Various office administration duties including, but not limited to: Managing Uniform program
  • Managing security pass program
  • Validating worked hours reported from payroll system.
  • Maintain unit OPRS (Operations Planning and Reporting System) for both unit level and corporate review.
  • Develop and support VPS (Variable Production Schedule) tools to aid in production planning.
  • Track and validate labour standards for production processes.
  • Ensure staff schedules are completed for all departments.
  • Collaborate with managers on staff time off request approval.
  • Utilize prescribed call-in process to find replacements for staff call-ins.
  • Verify schedules and assign shifts on a daily basis by managing calls from staff, timesheets, record reasons for no show or declined shifts.

Qualifications

Education:  High School graduate or equivalent; some college preferred

Work Experience:  At least 2 years’ work experience in areas related to operations administration and operational planning.

Technical Skills:  Any resource planning & scheduling related accreditations an asset.

Job Skills:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with MS Office in general and specifically advanced skills with Excel is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Able to balance multiple objectives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong organizational & analytical skills

Work Environment / Requirements of the Job: Primarily an office environment with some time spent on the production floor.

Travel:  Minimal
