Position Summary

The Lead Director, Change Management, will drive the development and execution of enterprise-wide change management strategies that enable CVS Health’s transformation priorities. This role partners closely with senior business leaders, HRBPs, and the Culture Enablement team to implement scalable frameworks, consult on high-impact transformation initiatives, and build change capability across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-design and implement a scalable change management framework adopted by enterprise transformation teams and business leaders.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and workstream leader on major transformation initiatives, ensuring colleague-centric and sustainable adoption.
  • Design, deploy, and continuously improve change management methodologies and tools with the Culture Enablement team.
  • Consult with business leaders and transformation teams to develop tailored change strategies for the top priority bodies of work within the HR integrated strategy (“signature moves” and “big rocks”)
  • Mentor a team of change professionals, ensuring effective execution and professional growth.
  • Partner with Culture Enablement, Talent, and Communications to ensure change strategies are integrated and aligned.
  • Measure and report on change adoption, colleague impact, and business outcomes.
  • Participate in a change management community of practice, delivering training and best practices.
  • Stay current on change management trends and innovations, recommending enhancements as needed.



Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in change management, organizational development, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale change initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong consulting, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Experience directing and collaborating with project teams.
  • Prosci or other Change Management industry certification OR training required.

  • Strategic thinker with strong execution skills.
  • Collaborative leader who builds trust and drives alignment.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and influencing at all levels.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
