CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifying the most important sub-segments for the Data Center application and the IT market, mapping the go-to-market, the main stakeholders and clarifying their key issues and expectations
  • Identifying the trends and changes ongoing in each segment and how they affect stakeholders.
  • Working with AWS (Applied Water Systems) segments to define Xylem’s answers to each group’s short and long-term issues and to align our value proposition to these issues, and act as Xylem thought leader outside the company.
  • Working with AWS segments and external partners to drive alliance and integrated offerings that address these issues and create coalitions and projects to address long-term issues.
  • Working with Sales to help map all key players and ensure that they are well covered, and that sales forces understand the segments and can sell the value.
  • Work with the segments Marketing leaders to provide direction on market development activities.
  • Understanding the technical challenges and demands of Data Center solutions and products.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 years of sales experience selling into the datacenter industry
  • Strong proven experience in the datacenter and IT industries as well as expertise in datacenter design and construction
  • Strong history of calling on the major data center companies to get Xylem Products specified before they major data center companies send the RFQ out to Engineers and Contractors
  • Deep knowledge of all the critical cooling systems. Working knowledge of construction methods and thermal management
  • You will have strong relationship building skills, business analysis, working knowledge of data center business, and construction environment.
  • Considered a thought leader on a subject Motivations Required Ability to Make an Impact.
  • Capacity to convince stakeholders externally and internally of need for change and lead the way forward
  • Capacity to obtain VOC from customers and partners, even when it contradicts our positions
  • Ease to work with various cultures and different types of customers
  • Ability to network at C level with our large channel partners and customer
  • Proven experience in successful interactions with customers and influencers
  • High public speaking ability
  • Knowledge of Xylems product lines and market segments is advantageous.
  • Solid understanding and experience with standard go-to-market strategies for the datacenter ecosystem.

DAY IN THE LIFE: In this role, you will work primarily in an office setting and the physical demands may include but not limited to light lifting up to 25 lbs. In addition, this role will require travel up to 50%.

Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range. The starting salary is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions.

Salary range:

$81,000.00 - $146,000.00
