We are looking for a Sr Advisor Government Relations who can implement strategies to inform public officials and shape public policy and regulatory outcomes at the state and local level for all Enbridge business units and interests. Apply now and be part of our team!

What you will do:

  • Implement advocacy efforts and contribute to the external engagement strategy for Enbridge’s projects and operations.

  • Represent Enbridge with state government officials and entities primarily in Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina related to current operations and future projects.

  • Coordinate outreach to local government officials with stakeholder engagement team.

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with state and local government officials and entities and their staff.

  • Represent Enbridge at state and local industry associations, chambers of commerce, and other professional organizations in which Enbridge has interests.

  • Develop trust and accountability across Enbridge’s business units and functional teams.

  • Work closely with Enbridge-contracted professional governmental consulting firms and individuals.

  • Identify opportunities for corporate donations and sponsorships within region.

  • Coordinate with U.S. state government affairs team, as well as other groups across Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability (PACS).

Who you are:

You have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Five (5) years of progressive public affairs or government-related experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communications and facilitation skills

  • Strong public presentation and public speaking skills

  • Solution-oriented mindset, structured, gets things done and on time.

  • Problem solver with experience managing projects with complex organizations.

  • Experience in government compliance.

  • Motivated self-starter able to work independently.

  • Ability to adapt to changing subject advocacy.

  • Keen political instincts

  • High ethical standards
