Position Title: Enrolled Nurse Transition Program
Employment Type: Maximum Term, Full Time (12 months)

Employment Period: 10 March 2025 to 09 March 2026
Hours per week: 38 hours
Position Grade: Enrolled Nurse (Year 1)
Salary: $63,130.85 base per annum

About your next role:

As an Enrolled Nurse and part of the Enrolled Nurse Transition Program (ENTP), you will be allocated two clinical rotations (2 x six months) across a variety of services within St Vincent’s Hospital and Sacred Heart Health Service, working on a 24/7 rotating roster including morning, afternoon and night shifts. Enrolled Nurse Transition Program offers:

  • A comprehensive hospital, nursing and transition program orientation program

  • Ward orientation and clinical supernumerary time

  • Weekly Professional Development Sessions

  • Monthly peer support session with the Transition Program Nurse Educator

  • Minimum of three full day study days (paid), with opportunity for more

All applicants must:

  • Have completed or be due to complete the TAFE NSW (or equivalent) HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled/Division 2 Nursing) between January 2024 and January 2025.

  • Have current registration with AHPRA, or be registered by the start date of the program – we cannot offer positions to those without registration

  • Upload a CV, cover letter, responses to the selection criteria and Diploma transcript in their application

  • Provide details for two referees in their cover letter

  • Meet and clearly address the selection criteria, and upload selection criteria responses with their application.

 

Applicants that do not address the selection criteria will have their application automatically rejected.

Shortlisting will occur immediately, as applications may close early if the maximum number of suitable applicants are sourced.

 

Interviews are planned between 25 November 2024 - 06 December 2024. The outcome of the interview will be notified by the end of January 2025.

1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.

2. Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2)

3. Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality patient care within a multidisciplinary health care team

4. Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development

5. Demonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system

6. Demonstrated effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

7.Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment

8. Demonstrated customer service and patient centred approach to care
