The Strategic Initiatives organization’s role is to partner (Key Enabler) with senior leaders across the Services, Markets, Banking and Functions (SMBF) technology organization to ensure proper governance over our top Strategic Initiatives and to provide end to end Program Management for our most important cross-asset regulatory programs. This position is part of a global team spread across Europe and North America with a mix of program managers and analysts.
We are looking to bring in a Program Managment Senior Analyst as part of our Technology Cross Asset Regulatory Programs (CARP) Team. This role will help to coordinate regulatory Programs across Citi's technology teams and manage the organization of the plan, capturing the work in flight, defining the new work, and identifying the interdependencies between the different asset groups, business, functional groups and partner systems. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. To be successful in this role, you will need to have proven experience in either of Investment Banking and track record of delivering cross asset Technology Risk or Finance programs.
Responsibilities
Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs.
Assists with business case, review business requirements, gap analysis, feasibility study in long term benefit, requirement and solution review with stakeholders.
Finalizes the project plan with stakeholders and track closely for successful project delivery.
Implements advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing and analyzing data requirements.
Meets with end users to understand business needs, write requirements, conduct walk throughs on requirement documents and obtain Project Sponsor, Product and Operations approvals.
Reviews Functional Requirements to Business Requirements to ensure Technology has understood and met the end users’ needs/expectations.
Prioritizes requirements and create conceptual prototypes and mock-ups.
Partners with Technology, Product and Operations Management Teams to prioritize delivery of key projects.
Applies best practices for effective communication and problem-solving.
Collaborates with Technology on any project delays, risk assessment and risk mitigation plans.
Performs project Status reporting to Project Stakeholders, Product and Operations Partners.
Prepare Post project MIS, lessons learned and conduct continuous process improvement reviews.
Understand the bank environment and compliance and regulatory requirements.
Ensure creation of program plan and charter benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central program issue log.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Job Skills/Qualifications:
5+ years of Program and Project Management experience
Experience in the financial industry, preferably for a bank/broker-dealer, is preferred
Experience with managing complex projects in geographically diverse, multi-team environments
Experience working with cross functional teams and senior executive management
Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills; being able to analyze data, draw conclusions, identify trends and issues, and diagnose root cause of issues
Ability to demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal relationships with ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders
Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
Educational Level:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
