A Day in the Life

The Assistant Controller at Medtronic will be responsible for supporting the company’s financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance activities. This role oversees key accounting processes, ensures adherence to corporate policies and internal controls, and prepares accurate and timely financial statements. The Assistant Controller will be collaborating with cross-functional teams, supports internal and external audits, and drives continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function. This position plays a critical role in maintaining high standards of financial integrity and operational excellence at Medtronic.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Apply principles of accounting to capture and analyse financial information. 
• Prepare internal and external financial reports.
• Have responsibility over the company Financial Statement.
• Be responsible for month end close and key process.
• Maintain and oversee controls of accounts, records and processes. 
• Be responsible for ongoing communications with external audits and internal stakeholders (Tax, VAT, Treasury). 
• Maintain overall Finance responsibilities and timely identify risks and opportunities.   

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and BA in Accounting
• Knowledge and experience in USGAAP and Israeli GAAP (Generally accepted accounting principles)
• Verbal and written communication skills in English
• Team player, self-educated, ability to work independently, highly motivated, details oriented
• Hi-tech finance department work experience 
• Experience in SAP and Priority
