Position Summary

Researches, develops and applies advanced imaging techniques and electronic/computing technologies to an area of diagnostic research. Works with clinical researchers to develop pilot data, define research methodologies and coordinates extra mural proposal efforts.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs pilot studies and writes research grants in a professional and scientifically sound manner; gathers background information on the research topic, develops experimental designs, assists in developing budgets, ensures that grants are completed by specified deadline and ensures studies are conducted according to research parameters.

  • Performs scientific experiments in accordance with grant specifications.

  • Interacts with clinical/scientific investigators in a professional manner in an effort to develop pilot data and define research methodologies.

  • Writes papers and reports on research; gathers data and relevant background information; creates flow charts, graphs, figures and photos that accurately reflect the results of the project.

  • Installs and maintains hardware and software systems as necessary in a timely and accurate manner.

Salary Range

$72,900.00 - $132,200.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
