Position Purpose: Leads the field sales team in establishing relationships with prescribers that enhances the company's competitive position and ensures the continued growth of the prescribers utilizing the company's products and services. Works in collaboration with other company leaders to recommend, formulate and implement tools, programs, products and services, aimed at maintaining current prescribers and acquiring new prescribers.

  • Directs, motivates and manages sales leadership through effective selection, training, supervising, monitoring and development
  • Establishes sales quotas and new business targets, and monitors performance against those targets
  • Facilitates and supervises the development and execution of sales leadership's work plans aimed at retaining current business and continuously acquiring new business
  • Ensures compliance with sales leadership tools to document prescriber contact activity and secure relationships with prescribers
  • Analyzes and assesses the market potential for the company's products by analyzing competitive trends and developments and recommending appropriate focus to increase sales
  • Designs and implements sales strategies consistent with the company's current and future strategic plan goals
  • Develops and executes strategic plans for implementation of new products and services and increasing market share
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position. Bachelor's degree preferred.  8+ years of sales experience required. 3+ years of supervisory/management experience required.  

Pay Range: $136,000.00 - $251,300.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
