KBR is growing its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for an exciting, high profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The ADNOC PMC project role would be based initially in Client or Contractors Office in Abu Dhabi.

Job Purpose

Job Purpose

The Senior QA/QC Engineer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the Project Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure that all engineering, procurement, construction, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities comply with ADNOC specifications, project requirements, international standards, and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management

  • Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 and ADNOC requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, Quality Procedures, and Project Specifications.
  • Monitor project quality performance and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with ADNOC representatives, consultants, and third-party inspection agencies.

Inspection & Testing

  • Review and approve quality documents, procedures, ITPs, and quality plans.
  • Conduct surveillance and audits of construction, fabrication, welding, coating, mechanical, piping, structural, electrical, and instrumentation activities.
  • Witness inspections and tests as per approved ITPs.
  • Monitor material receiving inspections and ensure traceability requirements are maintained.

Quality Assurance

  • Lead internal and external quality audits.
  • Ensure proper implementation of ADNOC and international quality standards.
  • Investigate quality issues and non-conformance incidents.
  • Review NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), CARs (Corrective Action Requests), and closure reports.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and submit quality reports, inspection reports, dashboards, and project quality metrics.
  • Maintain quality records and ensure proper turnover documentation.
  • Review Mechanical Completion dossiers and Final Quality Documentation.

Vendor & Subcontractor Management

  • Monitor subcontractors' quality performance.
  • Conduct vendor audits and assessments.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with project quality requirements and ADNOC specifications.

Team Leadership

  • Lead QA/QC Engineers, Inspectors, and Quality Coordinators.
  • Provide technical guidance and quality training to project personnel.
  • Promote quality awareness and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Lead Auditor Certification (ISO 9001) preferred.
  • CSWIP 3.1/3.2, BGAS, NACE, ASNT Level II, AWS-CWI or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
  • Minimum 5 years in a Senior QA/QC Engineer role.
  • Previous experience with ADNOC Offshore, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy, or major offshore operators is preferred.
