Senior Manager, Sales Training and Learning

We are seeking a seasoned learning/talent development leader with extensive experience in sales training and sales management development. This role will focus on collaborating with our Ag Business leaders and the Enterprise Learning team to strategize, design, and facilitate impactful learning and sales training initiatives. In this role, you will lead a team of experts that deliver training to our internal sales teams and our external cooperative members to assess and identify training gaps and develop and implement learning initiatives that align with Enterprise Learning and our Ag Businesses’ goals. Key stakeholders include internal Ag Business teams and external cooperative members.

This position is located at our Arden Hills, MN Corporate Headquarters (Hybrid work arrangement each week)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with BU Leaders, Enterprise Learning, HR BA/BPS and other key stakeholders to understand business objectives and align learning and sales training strategies accordingly.

  • Needs Analysis: Conduct thorough assessments to identify business unit/function, external member and organizational learning needs, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Support Business Unit/Function and Enterprise Learning Strategy Development: Formulate sales training and business unit/function learning strategies that support organizational goals, considering various learning modalities and technologies.

  • Performance Consulting: Provide expert guidance on performance improvement initiatives, offering solutions to enhance individual and team effectiveness.

  • Facilitation Delivery and Quality: Oversee delivery strategy for the business unit/function and external members and ensures quality facilitation

  • Content Development: Oversee the creation of business unit/function, sales and external member specific learning materials, including e-learning modules, workshops, and other resources, ensuring they meet the identified learning objectives.

  • Evaluation and Measurement: Support evaluation methods to measure the effectiveness of sales learning programs, making data-driven adjustments for continuous improvement.

  • Change Management: Support the integration of learning initiatives into the company culture, addressing resistance and fostering a positive learning environment.

  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of sales training programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

  • Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and best practices in learning and development to bring innovative solutions to the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Resources, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.  Related experience in lieu of degree may be considered.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in learning and development required, with primary focus on sales training and sales management development strongly preferred.

  • Prior people leadership experience required

  • External customer sales training a plus.

  • Proven experience in designing and facilitating sales training programs.

  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical training experts and other stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of the agriculture industry is a plus.

Salary range:  $138,720-$208,080
