What Will You Do: 

A Patient Service Representative (PSR) is often a patient’s first impression of Advocate Health and frequently is the starting point and foundation for all Revenue Cycle functions. That work includes complete and accurate capture of information related to patient demographics, insurance coverage, and patient financial responsibility.  The PSR helps prevent the loss of revenue and impacts operating margins through the accuracy and timeliness of their workflows.  The PSR ensures mandated regulations are followed and patient satisfaction is optimized.  The PSR plays a crucial role in connecting a variety of departments for the overall success of the patient’s experience and the organization’s financial success.  Often works without direct supervision present. ​​

This position is scheduled Monday-Friday from 8:30am- 5pm.  No holidays, weekends, or on-call duties.

The Cardiology Clinic at Aurora’s St. Luke’s Medical Center offers a blend of world-class clinical reputation, fast-paced hands-on experience and competitive benefits.  This specialized clinic is internally recognized for its expertise in heart care and serves as a major center of excellence for advanced cardiovascular technologies.  Each member of this tight-knit team has the privilege to positively impact cardiac patient outcomes.  This position handle high volume in the Cardiology call center, and will focus on assisting with scheduling, cancelling current appointments, and rescheduling patients.

We are Looking For: 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • Previous call center, clerical, and/or scheduling experience preferred.  EPIC experience is a plus!

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

This position may require travel, therefore, will be exposed to weather and road conditions.

Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs. with assistance. 

 

Sensory requirements include vision, hearing and touchMust also be able to speak clearly.  

 

Must be able to use hands with fine motor skills for keyboard data entry.
