Required Skill Set for the Role

  • Strong analytical abilities to review and interpret complex intermediary agreements and fee structures, including basis-point, percentage-based, and tiered schedules.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and incorrect rates within TA system data and platform reports.
  • Solid understanding of fund share classes and intermediary arrangements, including asset-class-level, fund-level, and share-class-level fee agreements.
  • Ability to extract, evaluate, and standardize commercial terms from a wide variety of legacy and modern agreements, ensuring a clear understanding of the applicable single rate and its type (bps or percentage).
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, Compliance, and external clients, to resolve discrepancies and support repapering or renegotiation processes.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly articulate findings, required corrections, and proposed actions to both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Comfort working with large data sets, including the ability to interpret outputs from Transfer Agent systems and platform data feeds.
  • Problem-solving mindset to navigate diverse fee arrangements and legacy structures and determine the correct fees due.
  • Understanding of retrocession and trailer fee concepts, including historical variations of agreements types and evolving industry practices.
  • Ability to manage workload independently, prioritizing agreements and issues effectively to support timely resolution.
