Job Description:
This job is responsible for overseeing programs and projects specific to corporate change initiatives that impact how the bank does business, provides a product or service, or executes a function. Key responsibilities include serving as the primary contact to executive management for critical change initiatives and defining scope and business impact of programs while communicating, influencing, and negotiating vertically and horizontally. Job expectations include delivering board level updates and materials on results aligned to program strategy, simplification, and new capabilities.
Team Specific Job Description:
- Strategic business led Product Owner responsible for end-to-end product definition and delivery for large scale GCB transformation initiatives
- Primary liaison between Global Commercial Banking (GCB) and Technology, ensuring business intent is translated into clear, prioritized, and executable requirements
- Delivery oriented leader accountable for outcomes across multi year, multi platform transformation programs
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the execution of defined project tasks through tracking of deliverables and their statuses, developing project plans, and measuring progress against ongoing key performance indicators
- Influences timelines, helps to prioritize work amongst team to meet deadlines, and uses business judgment to tailor approaches and drive optimal business outcomes while managing external and reputational risk
- Orchestrates and drives the successful and timely completion of programs to achieve business goals, including the identification and resolution of risks and issues which impact program delivery
- Engages and drives relationships with business partners through strategic leadership, execution of key priorities, thoughtful challenge, and insightful analysis
- Reviews investment strategies, applies an deep understanding of business cases, and the proposed work to articulate outcomes and benefits of the investments
- Facilitates, coordinates, and arbitrates cross-functional macro level topics with key stakeholders, including senior management
- Leads the adoption and sustainment of change and program initiatives and assesses adoption risks
Team Specific Responsibilities:
- Product Ownership:
- Owns vision, roadmap, and backlog for assigned GCB transformation initiatives
- Defines clear business outcomes, success metrics, and value realization targets
- Business–Technology Translation:
- Partners with GCB leaders to surface, structure, and prioritize business needs and translates strategic objectives into epics, features, and user stories consumable by Technology teams
- Transformation Delivery:
- Drives delivery across complex, multi generation platforms (data, AI, workflow, client experience)
- Manages interdependencies across programs, vendors, and shared services
- Stakeholder Management:
- Acts as the single point of accountability for business requirements across GCB, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Operations
- Communicates progress, risks, and tradeoffs to senior leadership with clarity and precision
- Agile Execution:
- Operates as Product Owner within Agile delivery models, managing backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and release readiness in line with Enterprise SDLC, governance and control standards
- Value and Risk Management:
- Balances speed to market with regulatory, operational, and architectural constraints
- Identifies delivery risks early and drive mitigation plans in partnership with Technology and Control functions
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner on large scale enterprise transformation initiatives
- Strong understanding of Commercial Banking products, client journeys, and operating models
- Deep working knowledge of Agile SDLC and tools (JIRA, Confluence, AgileView, Horizon, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior business and technology leaders without direct authority
- Strong executive level communication skills, both written and verbal
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience delivering multi‑year, multi‑LOB transformation programs within large financial institutions
- Working knowledge of modern data platforms, AI/analytics capabilities, and digital architectures (business fluency, not hands‑on development)

Pay and benefits information
Pay range
$170,000.00 - $232,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
