How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Position: Construction Sales Specialist
Location: Greater Phoenix Area

Responsible for increasing profitable sales of construction related equipment and market segment growth within an assigned geographic territory through his/her own efforts and coordination with other sales representatives, and acting as a construction sales resource for others within the company.
  • Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment. 
  • Represents company construction product line to prospects and existing local and national customers. 
  • Explains products to customers matching customers’ needs with the appropriate products. 
  • Quotes prices and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained. 
  • Estimates delivery date to customer based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules. 
  • Demonstrates products and services and explains features of each product and service. 
  • Emphasizes benefits of Airgas products and services to potential customers. 
  • Increases sales and margin profit through penetration to assigned accounts and by closing new accounts. 
  • Acts as a resource for other sales representatives in developing and maintaining construction product sales and segment growth within their customer base by assisting them with customer sales calls and providing product and industry training, making appropriate recommendations and presentations. 
  • Answers customer inquiries and satisfactorily resolves customer complaints. 
  • Reports any problems or required maintenance on any installed piece of equipment to the supervisor. 
  • Prepares required reports and keeps expense accounts. 
  • Keeps current with industry technical knowledge. 
  • Work collaboratively with TGM manager and team to sell TGM services both to new and existing opportunities.  
  • Team with TGM team to deliver products when not handled by a standard distribution model.
  • Maintain a professional presence and demeanor that is reflective of a corporate image. 
  • All employees are expected to perform any reasonable work request that falls within the qualifications but not specifically described.

Are you a MATCH?

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of related experience
  • 3+ years of business‐to‐business sales experience. 
  • 5 years Industry experience and related product knowledge required.
  • Negotiating and selling skills required with a proven record of achieving or exceeding assigned sales goals.
  • Computer proficiency and intermediate knowledge of Google Suite. 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle with insurance coverage as required by the company
  • Work, observe, and demonstrate safety as a condition of our employment in a professional manner in both Airgas and customer locations. 
  • Self‐motivated with a desire to win. 
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
