Responsible for providing end user support and maintaining the system. Must have an understanding of business processes and reporting requirements to support those processes. Responsible for being able to identify potential data issues (write a bug) as well as propose alternatives that could be supported and utilized effectively. Responsible for coordinating data requirements and issues with the business owners in an effective, problem-solving manner.

HMIS Analyst III

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess, coordinate and review all issues and impacts associated with HMIS (Hanlon Management Information System) support and business processes.
  • Create necessary SQL scripts and testing evidence to correct system data.
  • Conduct process observation visits as part of the acquisition assimilation.
  • Conduct ad-hoc queries for business owners.
  • Conducts analysis of data extracts.
  • Prepares detailed and accurate documentation of queries and testing.
  • Works extensively with MS Excel, especially pivot tables and macros.
  • Research and create data fixes.
  • Communicates effectively with Corporate and Field users.
  • Lead projects to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Lead data conversions for new acquisitions.
  • Meets with Corporate Business Process Owners to assess needs.
  • Protect and ensure the stability of the HMIS system as well as maintain the integrity of the data it contains.
  • Analyzes and communicates findings to project management.
  • Interprets business requirements to identify proper tools and methods to analyze, identify and report data trends and variances
  • Develops and proposes new system standards to improve production of workflow as required.
  • Supports project management with change requests throughout the project lifecycle to minimize impact to the project cost, schedule, and resources.
  • Performs system testing utilizing HMIS application.
  • Document system requirements in the form of a functional spec that can be used for coding purposes.
  • Complies with all SOX requirements and prepares necessary documentation.
  • Meets with audit team to discuss compliance with controls.
  • Creates reports requested by Corporate and Field users.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Information Systems or a related discipline

Experience:

  • Six (6) years’ experience working with applications, systems or in a business related or technical field

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Prior knowledge with Pint of Sale (POS), accounting and financial applications.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience of data tracking systems
  • Experience with data analysis, training and program evaluation
  • Experience with reporting, management and oversight of data collection
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate well with others, both internally and externally
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Excellent organization skills and initiative
  • Ability to work in a demanding, complex and fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks to completion, assess time frames and work both independently and with a team
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, oral and computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access & SQL Server.
