Job Description Summary:
At The Coca-Cola Company, we are proud to be one of the world’s most recognized and respected brands, with a legacy spanning over 139 years and a portfolio enjoyed by millions of consumers every day across Latin America. Our mission is simple yet powerful: refresh the world and make a difference.
We are seeking a Sr. Director I, Portfolio Strategy, LATAM to architect and steward the longterm strategic direction of the total beverage portfolio across the region. This role is pivotal in shaping portfolio vision, brand roles, category strategies, and innovation priorities—ensuring that our portfolio remains culturally relevant, competitively advantaged, and grounded in deep human understanding.
The ideal candidate brings a rare combination of strategic systems thinking, consumer and insights mastery, and executive influence. You will work at the intersection of Global strategy, the LATAM Operating Unit, and local markets, translating human needs, demand spaces, and segmentation into clear portfolio choices that unlock sustainable growth.
What You’ll Do for Us
Lead the endtoend portfolio strategy for the LATAM Operating Unit, owning the longterm vision, strategic ambition, and growth pathways across categories, brands, and price tiers.
Champion consumercentric and insightled decision making by translating human needs, demand spaces, and segmentation into actionable portfolio, category, and brand role choices.
Shape portfolio architecture and brand roles, guiding prioritization, simplification, innovation focus, and longrange planning to maximize value creation.
Translate global portfolio ambition into a cohesive, regionally relevant strategy, balancing scale with cultural nuance and local market realities.
Own the portfolio governance framework for LATAM, including evaluation criteria, growth metrics, prioritization principles, and strategic guardrails.
Integrate foresight, predictive analytics, and emerging behavioral trends to identify future growth opportunities and inform longterm portfolio direction.
Partner crossfunctionally with Marketing, RGM, Commercial, IMX, Innovation, and Strategy to shape OBPPC strategies rooted in consumer motivation, elasticity, and affordability dynamics.
Evaluate competitive performance and portfolio mix, informing choices on premiumization, affordability, penetration, and occasion expansion.
Enable markets with clear strategic foundations—segmentation, cohorts, architecture, and growth metrics—supporting strong local portfolio design and execution.
Influence systemwide alignment by using clear, insightdriven narratives to guide senior leadership, markets, and global stakeholders around portfolio choices.
Represent the LATAM consumer and competitive context in global portfolio forums, ensuring regional realities inform enterprise decisions.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
12–15+ years of experience in Portfolio Strategy, Consumer Insights, Marketing Strategy, Innovation, Category Strategy, or RGM, with regional or multimarket scope.
Proven expertise leading strategic frameworks, including segmentation, brand roles, portfolio architecture, and longterm growth planning.
Strong background in CPG / FMCG, with experience shaping portfolio or category strategies at scale.
Deep capability in consumer insights, human needs, demand spaces, and growth analytics.
Demonstrated ability to simplify complexity and articulate clear strategic choices to senior leaders.
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence without direct authority in complex, matrixed organizations.
High cultural sensitivity and deep understanding of LATAM consumer dynamics.
Fluency in English and Spanish or Portuguese; proficiency in all three is a strong advantage.
