The Role

You will join a specialist sales and pre-sales team renowned for the strength and track record of its members.  As a member of the Asia Pacific C&RS sales organization, you will leverage your subject matter expertise in credit and risk workflows to support revenue growth in the region and work with a team of highly skilled and experienced Pre-sales Engineers covering different markets.

Core Responsibilities

  • Revenue Generation - Working with Sales Specialists, Renewal Specialists and other partners, develop and execute strategic/tactical plans to meet and exceed our sales & retention quotas
  • Client Engagement – Partner with Sales Specialists, Renewal Specialists and other teams on client engagement, bringing credit & risk subject matter expertise to diagnostic & negotiation discussions, designing of workflow solutions, supporting trials/proof of concepts/RFPs, workshops, etc.
  • Market Feedback/Outreach – Gather & communicate market feedback, competitive intelligence and regulatory/legal/compliance developments in the credit & risk space, providing recommendations to the APAC C&RS Sales leadership team and our stakeholders on the impacts/opportunities for our regional business; contribute to thought leadership seminars/conferences/research papers
  • Global & Stakeholder Collaboration – Arrange regular cadence with global peers to support global initiatives and sharing of best practices and user cases across the teams; liaise with peers and senior stakeholders (Sales & Marketing, Business Line, Support teams, etc) regarding technical challenges and, sales and product strategies to drive an exceptional client experience for existing and prospective clients
  • Go-To-Market (GTM)Drive alignment of the sales team (Sales Specialists, Account Management, Pre-sales Engineers) and business line/support team efforts to support GTM campaigns and other strategically important business initiatives
  • Intra & Cross-Divisional Collaboration - Deepen your understanding of the value proposition of all C&RS and other synergistic capabilities within Market Intelligence and other SPGI divisions as it relates to credit & risk workflows. Create/lead/support synergy initiatives with C&RS Sales Specialists, Account Managers and other divisional partners

Core Skills and Requirements

You are a results-driven professional with a strong understanding of credit & risk management workflows and relevant industry solutions – on the client side or in a Product or Commercial role for a market provider – who can effectively engage with senior contacts across various client segments.

We are looking for:

  • 4-8 years of experience in the institutional financial markets. A comprehensive understanding of fixed income / credit / market / operational risk gained via experience at financial institutions, asset managers or consulting firms is a plus
  • A ‘subject matter expert’ with in-depth credit and risk management knowledge and extensive understanding of relevant industry solutions (preferably our C&RS capabilities), their value proposition and how they drive value to various client segments
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, active listening and, confidence in delivering presentations at client workshops/industry events is essential
  • Constructive team player, capable of balancing and prioritizing multiple projects across different teams or business priorities
  • Strong personal integrity and a confident and positive manner
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; demonstrates drive, initiative, energy, and sense of urgency
  • Work effectively in a team-based environment as well as independently
  • Desire and flexibility to learn and grow in an ever-changing environment
  • Robust programming skills in Python, R, SAS, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. MBA/CFA/FRM is a plus
  • Thai / Bahasa Indonesian / Vietnamese language high regarded, for covering the ASEAN markets
  • Credit risk analysis/modelling/advisory background from banks, insurance, consulting firms are highly desirable
