The leader of strategic programs and initiatives for MBU will be responsible for driving the analysis and recommended options to drive a variety of programs critical to MBU’s continued success and requiring cross-functional support.

The leader will also often help lead critical initiatives and lead the implementations of the BU-aligned strategies - driving execution to completion!  Top priority actions will be determined by MBU’s senior leadership and they will have a wide degree of variation.  Some of the early projects will include:

  • Optimizing MBU’s low-cost and mid-cost geographic footprint by working with functional leads to increase synergies with BU teams, CBO teams, and TPG partners.

  • Serving as a single point of contact to align and prioritize Micron’s MBT efforts, which includes expanding our use of AI productivity and statistical forecasting tools.

  • Analyzing targeted areas for improvement and aligning BU teams to Micron or industry best-known methods.

  • Leading MBU’s continued efforts to drive CoEs by evaluating our current strategies, presenting opportunities for further improvement, assisting in establishing improvement plans, and measuring progress.

  • Improving the efficiency of BU-management processes and meetings including direct staff, cross-functional offsites, key objectives, weekly reports & dashboards, etc.

Therefore, the Leader of Strategic Programs role will require a candidate to:

  • Have extensive experience working within a Micron business unit

  • Have a good understanding of Micron’s business systems and processes

  • Work collaboratively with cross functional teams in the business unit and across other Micron BU’s

  • Have a proven track record of successfully creating and driving large scale strategic initiatives and process improvements

  • Work with agility across business functions, technology and management levels with clarity

  • Have strong analytical skills and capability to turn large amounts of data into critical information

  • Be able to anticipate strategic decisions and process changes that will have both short-term and long-term on impacts Micron’s business

  • Successfully motivate change management due to strategy shifts or process changes

  • Drive decisions within a context of the business strategy and budget

  • Communicate clearly with the right level of granularity to a range of audiences from senior execs to cross-functional stakeholders
