ABOUT THE JOB 

You are a key leader in the Security Consultancy and collaborate to deliver high quality outcomes across a range of services – Advisory & Awareness, Security Assurance, Security Service Architecture and Public & Private Partnerships. 

  

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • You ensure that execution and strategy are aligned by working with Security Service Architecture leads. The service architecture for Group Security is a key set of documents used by the delivery / operational teams to formulate the target state and ensure that we are enhancing and aligning capabilities across the relevant areas. Your role will be to ensure high quality outcomes and alignment with architecture standards and support ongoing development of patterns and standards.  

  • You are responsible for the optimization and continuous improvement of Security Architecture processes by identifying risks and defining appropriate controls 

  • You participate in key enterprise planning cadences such as quarterly delivery and drive key inputs for workforce planning to coordinate backlog and priorities. 

  • Develop and maintain a high-level holistic version of Security Consultancy strategy and multiyear roadmap / target state 

  • Lead a team of Security Service Architects (where appropriate)  

  • Maintain and groom backlog of work and help business triage and prioritise  

  • Represent an enterprise-wide perspective on re-use and optimisation of technology choices 

  • Proactively look for opportunities to decommission legacy technologies or to otherwise simplify our technology landscape and operating model  

  • Collaborate with cross domain business / technology / architecture stakeholders to navigate trade-offs between achieving business value versus adhering to architectural guard-rails and our risk and regulatory obligations 

  • Manage the opportunities that exist internal and external to NAB for partnership, fostering collaboration and best of breed innovations  

  • Understand and communicate strategic themes and other key business drivers for advisory & awareness to various stakeholders across the business 

  • Create a robust assurance program capable of meeting the CPS 234 obligations and requirements  

  • Influence common, solution patterns etc. 

 

 

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • 15+ years' experience in the technology industry  

  • 5+ years architecture experience with developing and running agile practices in large organisations with regulatory and legacy constraints 

  • Track record of providing quality insights that help drive decisions to ensure teams are operating effectively and delivering consistent results in a large complex organisation  

  • Strong understanding of digital technologies, analytics and business process-based solutions  

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and management  

  • Demonstrated ability to improve medium to large team performances 

  • Strong business acumen and engagement skills to influence business strategy to help shape, triage, prioritise business outcomes and develop roadmaps for the business units / domains.  

  • Anility to lead and maintain backlog of business outcomes portfolio view relevant to your areas.   

  • Strong business engagement, influencing skills with the ability to navigate complex topics with fact-based analysis.  

  • Understand the trade-offs involved in technology change while simultaneously delivering business benefit. Requires commercial acumen, business alignment and ability to negotiate.  

  • Influencing and negotiation to ensure highly effective outcomes
