The Opportunity

This position works out of our Mississauga location in the Diabetes Care Division. We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology. The primary objective of this internship is to support our Data Analytics and Insights department in various projects, including data collection, analysis, visualization, and reporting. The intern will gain hands-on experience in a professional setting while contributing to our team's success.

What You’ll Do

Data Collection and Cleaning: Assist in gathering data from various sources and ensuring its accuracy and completeness.

Data Analysis: Perform statistical analyses and generate insights to support decision-making processes.

Data Visualization: Create compelling visualizations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing key insights and recommendations.

Collaboration: Work closely with team members to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant program at the University of Waterloo (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • A keen interest in data analytics and a desire to learn and grow in a professional environment.

  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Minimum GPA of B+ or equivalence

  • Strong verbal and written communication/documentation skills
