Your mission:

You will take the lead of a team of 10 lawyers and oversee a broad range of legal issues, and report to the General Counsel. 

From negotiating contracts to providing all-round advice on corporate and commercial matters,  but also through regulatory complexities, ensuring compliance and enabling innovation.

You will manage both internal legal teams and external counsel, serving as the trusted partner for business stakeholders in the HQ and in the Spanish team.

The role is broad and varied. You will oversee commercial legal affairs and contracts review, platform and product compliance, IP, litigation, corporate affairs, Legal ops and will supervise Antitrust matters as a dotted line reporting.

This role requires legal expertise, adaptability and a problem-solving mindset!

In the Journey You Will: 

• Act as a senior leader of the legal team, providing strategic advice and hands-on support.
• Build a robust commercial, IP and litigation practice for Spain and HQ, supporting both business stakeholders and local legal team.  
• Elaborate, review and analyze all types of commercial agreements for the Headquarters and for the Spanish Market. You will handle contractual and commercial implications when dealing with all the players involved in the business, while strengthening templates, clause libraries, tools and efficiency of the team.
• Ensure compliance with the regulations applicable to Glovo’ s business, including antitrust, consumer law and financial regulations. 
• Provide timely and business oriented product compliance review. 
• Supervise HQ and local corporate housekeeping and corporate documentation, implementation of corporate governance policies and support special projects. Coordinate the reporting of corporate information of all entities of Glovo.
• Lead the strategic supervision of litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution, ensuring timely and cost-effective outcomes.

What you will bring to the ride: 

• At least 10 years' experience in the legal department of a company and/or reputed law firm/big4 with proven experience.
• Must have solid experience working in tech or fast paced environments.
• Law Degree.
• Excellent English language skills (must have).
• Excellence and values in handling different matters at the same time.
• Ability to navigate across multiple geographies and cultures, and coordinate with all the areas within the organization.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Highly motivated in the world of start-ups and new technologies.
