Job Description

Offer Secure Landing Zone 

  • Continuously improve the China AWS Cloud Landing Zone using programming capabilities to advance the implementation of native China AWS services and adoption of global landing zone standard iteration.
  • Drive Cloud native services onboard / review on China AWS Cloud.
  • Implement E2E automation from SNOW to landing zone all service provision to improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Foster security service iterating and landing in China AWS env. with collaboration between Public cloud product team and ITRMS team
  • Provide consulting services for Cloud projects 
    • Support application team high level design as infra expert on early stage.
    • Join China IT Architecture Review and share comments.
    • Promote modernized and best practice Arch with illustrating the consideration factors for current and future needs 
  • Provide education & training 
    • Consider China Market situation and Cloud tech trend to host training / workshop / demo. To realize ‘Cloud First’ strategy, from concept to implementation.
  • Work to introduce new technologies and ideas to solve emerging business problems 
    • Problem resolving, Engage application to understand current pain points and investigate solution.
    • Optimize app architecture continually, 
      • Working together with China Cloud Team review existing application based on historical utilization data to provide suggestion.
      • Introduce new cloud feature and find enhancement opportunity based on current apps architecture.
    • Security enhancement, working together with ITRMS to review exist application security settings, provide suggestion. 
  • Partner with all areas of IT and Business 
    • Working together with China Cloud Team to engage China Application teams to collect feedback and improve our service continually.
    • Find and drive enhancement activity together.

Technical Skills

Cloud Platforms Expertise:
  • Proficiency in major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with cloud-native services, architectures, and tools.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
  • Strong knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.
  • Experience in defining and managing cloud resources programmatically.
Programming Languages:
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in cloud development (e.g., Python).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
Containerization and Orchestration:
  • Experience with containers (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, Step Function).
  • Understanding of microservices architecture.
DevOps Practices:
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Action CI/CD, Azure DevOps) and practices.
  • Experience in automated testing frameworks and quality assurance processes.
Monitoring and Logging:
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
  • Ability to implement observability for cloud applications and infrastructure.
Security Best Practices:
  • Understanding of cloud security frameworks and best practices (e.g., IAM, encryption, secure coding practices).
  • Experience with compliance requirements

Soft Skills

Leadership and Mentoring:
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
  • Proven experience in fostering a collaborative team environment.
Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking:
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.
Communication Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts effectively to stakeholders.
Project Management:
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
Collaboration:
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with other teams (e.g., product management, operations, security).

Certifications (Optional but Preferred)

  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
  • DevOps-related certifications (e.g., HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate).

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
