Job Description Summary

Lead Project Manager will lead multiple projects, initiatives and assignments with broad scope and high impact to the PERS Customer Success business. Experience in Project Management and technical knowledge in PERS products will be critical for this role to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of projects. Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Technical Consultants, Subject matter experts, and other stakeholders, to deliver projects, develop project plans, and manage project timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will:

  • Implement PERS Software projects at various customer work sites including the activities of staff and subcontractors.
  • Manage multiple projects, including timeline, staffing and resource models, risk mitigation, communication plans, status reporting, and issues management.  
  • Leads project teams, interacting effectively in a matrixed environment. Able to foresee issues and proactively manage scope, schedule, and budget to meet project commitments.  Defines and implements appropriate corrective action plans. 
  • Resolve issues pertaining to scope, schedule and budget, or drive change management.
  • Provide expert knowledge and experience to collaborate with the customer to identify technical requirements and support with estimating efforts.
  • Instruct customers on PERS products processes/procedures and define quality requirements.
  • Advise customers on most favorable outcome, anticipates potential issues to proactively overcome issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience with customer facing service delivery roles
  • Project Management - PMI PMP and/or ITIL certification
  • Capability to analyze, identify strategic aspects of enhancing and building client relationships
  • Works well under pressure and delivers on time
  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing large & complex business programs and working with all aspects of software development lifecycle (requirements to post release validation)
  • Experience with delivering commercial platforms for industrial business in energy markets
  • Experience with plant operations and management systems is a plus
  • Strong spoken and written English language skills.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong skills in the use of software business tools (e.g. project management software, spreadsheets, reporting packages, word processing and presentation software).
  • Highly motivated, self-starter.
