The Opportunity:
The Accounting Manager – FP&A will be responsible for leading the FP&A activities of the E&T segment. This position will be key in supporting the E&T Group CFO and Group President in analyzing and messaging financial results and forecasts for the segment. Through working across both the corporate and business unit teams, this position will serve as a key team member in supporting both external and internal financial reporting.

What You Will Do:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Preparing monthly and quarterly financial results analysis and reporting for the E&T segment
  • Effectively leading a team of analysts to complete FP&A responsibilities
  • Effectively communicating financial results to company leadership
  • Maintaining financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards
  • Drive improvements and efficiencies in financial analysis and reporting processes
  • Collaborate across a variety of groups at Caterpillar, including finance, accounting, commercial and business divisions
  • Partner across the enterprise to support key projects related to Global Finance strategy initiatives

What You Have:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree within Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.
  • Managing People: Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams, and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace.
  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Judgment and Decision Making: Knowledge of the decision-making process; ability to carefully evaluate the impact of emerging business situations and choose the best path forward communicating actions and activities that maximize organizational performance.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

  • The primary location for this position is Irving, TX
  • This role requires 5 days a week in office
  • Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify

Summary Pay Range:

$144,960.00 - $217,320.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
