Job Description:

PURPOSE: 

This position is responsible for direction of daily production activities. This position is a 2nd shift role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Communicate needs, set direction, manage the production and material resources to effectively execute each day's production schedule.

 

Identify problems, collect data, document and improve processes, make suggestions, monitor and measure improvements, communicate and coordinate the activities of manufacturing, purchasing, planning and engineering as needed to support production.

 

Creating, measuring and scoring objectives for production personnel.

 

Understand, support and enforce safe production practices.

 

Maintain and enforce Rite-Hite quality standards and Rite-Hite employment policies.

 

Manage departmental budgets.

 

Facilitate training.

 

Interacts with customers and representatives to ensure good relations.

 

Facilitate meetings as required to assure effective and efficient daily production activities.

 

Responsible for executing and supporting the quality system and procedures in the effort for continuous improvement.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

Efficient execution of daily production schedules.

 

Fail safe processes.

 

Successful execution of manufacturing business plan.

 

Adherence to Rite-Hite safety, quality and employment policies.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Directly supervises 20 - 60 employees.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
