At Johnson & Johnson, we believe health is everything. Our strength in healthcare innovation empowers us to build a world where sophisticated diseases are prevented, treated, and cured, where treatments are smarter and less invasive, and solutions are personal. You will be a hands-on Workday Recruiting specialist responsible for solution design, configuration, and enablement across Workday Recruit and its connected recruiting technologies. You will directly configure and optimize Workday Recruiting to improve recruiter and candidate experiences, drive process standardization, and ensure reliable delivery of improvements through releases—working closely with Talent Acquisition, HR, and Technology partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary hands-on SME for Workday Recruiting, owning end-to-end configuration and functional design for sophisticated recruiting needs (requisitions, candidate pipelines, interviews, offers, templates, notifications, rules/eligibility, and related business processes).
  • Translate recruiting business requirements into scalable, secure Workday Recruiting solutions, producing clear functional documentation (process/design, configuration decisions, and impacts).
  • Lead configuration build and iterative refinement in Workday Recruiting; proactively find opportunities to simplify workflows and standardize practices across regions/business units.
  • Partner with stakeholders to support and improve the recruiting technology ecosystem, including experience with tools such as HireVue, LinkedIn Recruiting, HiredScore (and other relevant sourcing, assessment, CRM, scheduling, and job distribution solutions).
  • Motivate change delivery through disciplined testing: build test scenarios/scripts, execute unit/regression testing, coordinate and support UAT, and manage defect triage through resolution.
  • Provide enablement support (training materials, job aids, release notes, communications) to improve adoption and consistent use of Workday Recruiting features and connected tools.
  • Support production stability by partnering with service delivery teams on incidents/requests, conducting root-cause analysis, and implementing balanced fixes for recurring issues.
  • Ensure solutions align with data integrity, privacy, and compliance expectations for recruiting processes, partnering with appropriate risk/privacy stakeholders as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and roadmap planning by assessing impacts of Workday releases, recommending improvements, and supporting governance decisions.

Qualifications

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • Preferred: Master’s degree (MS/MBA) or equivalent advanced training in HR technology, systems, or business process design.

Experience and Skills

Required

  • Deep, hands-on expertise configuring and optimizing Workday Recruiting in an enterprise environment (solution design + configuration ownership).
  • Solid understanding of Workday Core/HCM foundations (organizations, roles, business processes, and basic reporting concepts) to ensure solutions fit the broader Workday ecosystem.
  • Experience supporting recruiting domain technologies such as HireVue, LinkedIn Recruiting, HiredScore and/or similar tools, including understanding how they fit into end-to-end recruiting processes.
  • Strong capability in requirements gathering, functional documentation, and translating business needs into system configuration and measurable outcomes.
  • Proven testing and release execution skills (unit/regression/UAT support, defect triage, validation of fixes) with solid attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder leadership skills; able to communicate clearly with recruiters, HR leaders, and technical partners.
  • Experience working effectively across geographies/time zones in a matrixed, global environment.

Preferred

  • Workday Recruiting certification(s) and/or Workday Pro experience.
  • Experience with recruiting reporting/insights (dashboards, KPIs, operational reporting) and data quality controls.
  • Familiarity with Workday integration patterns and data movement methods (e.g., vendor integrations, EIBs, APIs) from a functional/partnering standpoint.
  • Experience supporting process improvements using Agile/iterative delivery methods and/or ITSM practices.
  • Experience with change enablement for recruiting process/tool adoption (communications, training, stakeholder readiness).

Other

  • Language: English required; Portuguese preferred for São Paulo-based candidates.
  • Travel: Limited travel may be required based on business needs.
