Engineer II - Inside Sales

This position is responsible for handling key accounts and develop relationship with decision maker. The individual is responsible for handling simple escalation(process clarification) from Customer service and recommend solutions to the customer. Additionally he/she is  also accountable for marketing related activities and assistance to New product development.  

SALES SUPPORT 

Admin Support 

1. Create basic customer profile for segregating customer (as per territory/ markets/ application/ product family/ new or existing customer) to identify high priority customer. 

2. Develop a foundational customer profile by categorizing customers based on territory, markets, application, product family, and whether they are new or existing customers. This segmentation will help identify high-priority customers. 

3. Conduct a prequalification assessment for potential customers in accordance with Copeland's requirements and obtain approval from relevant stakeholders. 

4. Request for product pricing from pricing administrator/Product manager for submission of sales quote 

5. Submit the quotation to internal (Sales Manager) and external customer for review and approval.  6. Follow-up with Customer for feedback on the quotation and check on completeness and compliance of submitted quotation/proposal. 

7. Document the opportunity (positive/negative) in master database (CRM Tool) for future reference. 

8. Request for new customer account creation in Copeland system.

9. Submit the PO to customer service for Order entry.   

Quotation 

1. Fill the RFQ form with customer and model details and send to concerned team (Pricing) 

2. Receive RFQ (Request for Quotes) form from sales manager/Customer representative with customer and model details. 

3. Collate past quotation/price history for the customer from system. 

4. Validate regularly price information in the system. 

5. Fill and send the RFQ (standard) form with price details available in system or computed price to sales manager/Customer representative.   

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP AND MANAGEMENT 

1. Manage small-mid size customers assigned to Manila and co-manage specific customers with US outside sales managers, in addition will manage Key Accounts identified by the U.S

2. Support post-sales activities by monitoring customer orders and creating status reports.

3. Recommend solutions to customers sales and/or technical concerns in a timely manner by collaborating with Engineering, Customer Service and/or other departments

4. Support Customer Service through the following: 

  • a. Handle major technical issues and problems 

  • b. Update on new products and prices created for customers 

5. Recommends resolutions on customer issues and requests as follows: 

  • a. Product selection, cross-reference, and replacement 

  • b. Material/ Product Returns/ Warranty 

  • c. Pricing discrepancies 

  • d. Lost or defective products during shipment  

CREATING BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES  

1. Pursue new businesses opportunities by providing support to customers and US Sales Managers such as the following: 

  • a. Identify leads, evaluate and set-up new OEM accounts 

  • b. Ensure that identified opportunities are properly documented in Salesforce 

  • c. Assist in setting up customers for Enterprise Management  

2. Support business growth through the following: 

  • a. Copeland brand cross-selling 

  • b. Provide and follow-up complete and formal quotations sent 

  • c. Provides product research and act on literature request 

3. Support sales activities of the managed accounts as follows: 

  • a. Point of contact for sales and technical issues on Copeland and Electronics and Controls brand products, but not limited 

  • b. Coordinate shipments to expedite requests and processing of orders 

  • c. Decide on credit recommendation on short paid invoices 

4. Recommend resolutions on pricing negotiations   

REPORT GENERATION PRESENTATION 

1. Generate or create report based on standard template and submit to requestor. 

2. Provide other ad hoc reports required by the sales team to achieve sales goals   

PLANNING 

1. Performs pre-sales activities for prospects in managed accounts:  

  • a. Provide timely information and updates on products, services, solutions and on the company 

  • b. Monitor developments with customers for proper timing and planning of new product development   

2. Maintains the accuracy and upkeep of each customer account in the database through the following: 

  • a. Update each customer profile  

  • b. Ensure that customer information is current & updated in Salesforce like parent company, billing address etc.
