Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Coordinate the development and updates of crisis management plans, policies, and procedures.

  • Track and schedule regular risk assessments to identify potential crisis scenarios and vulnerabilities.

  • Collaborate with various departments to integrate crisis management into organizational strategies.

  • Assist with developing business continuity protocols to ensure minimal disruption during emergencies or disasters.

  • Reviewing and updating disaster recovery plans to align with evolving business needs and technologies.

  • Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the company’s risk management framework.

  • Reports security related issues to the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) and Risk Management teams.

  • Liaison with internal and external stakeholders.      

  • Assists in development of policies and procedures.

              

Training and Exercises:

  • Organize and assist as needed in training sessions, drills, and simulations for staff at all levels to enhance preparedness and response capabilities.

  • Evaluate and refine training programs based on feedback and lessons learned from training.

Crisis Response:

  • Serve as a point of contact during a crisis for communication, coordinating the crisis response team and facilitating communication among stakeholders.

  • Assist if needed in the dissemination of information to employees, clients, media, and the public to ensure a timely and accurate response.

  • Monitor the situation and adapt action plans as necessary to mitigate impacts.

           

Communication:

  • Develop and maintain crisis communication protocols and templates.

  • Analyzing and reporting on risk exposure and risk management outcomes to management.

  • Ensure the organization's messaging is consistent, clear, and transparent during and after a crisis event.   

       

 Post-Crisis Evaluation:

  • Coordinate post-crisis evaluations to assess the effectiveness of the response and identify areas for improvement.

  • Prepare and present reports to management and stakeholders detailing the response and recommendations.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as a liaison to external experts and consultants when necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Emergency Management, Business Administration, Information Security, or related field.

  • Information Security, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, or related knowledge of computer business communication concepts and protocols 1-3 years required.

  • Certification Preferred-Crisis Management (CEM, ABCP).

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of crisis management principals and best practices.

  • Knowledge of privacy principles.

  • Possess the ability to communicate verbally and in writing, effectively.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a hybrid team environment (remote & onsite).

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position may require on-call availability, extended hours, depending on the crisis.
