Responsible for managing and planning multiple high profile projects in Supply Chain. Additionally, this role is to manage one or more ongoing programs including two full-time associates that the Supply Chain Center of Excellence is responsible for executing and maintaining for the organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management
- Plans and manages multiple related projects including development of project scope, goals, work plans, cost/benefit analysis of proposals, estimation of budgets, timelines, deliverables, implementation strategies, and resources required for successful and timely completion of projects.
- Establishes deadlines, assists with the assignment of responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project.
- Develops business insights based on analysis of results, and communicate key findings to various members of management to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Assists in the development of measurement processes/methods for assessing progress towards goals and project outcomes.
- Works with management to secure appropriate resources and people to complete assigned projects on time and within budget.
- Communicates effectively in both written and oral formats with clients, suppliers, colleagues and various levels of management.
- Appropriately escalates barriers, issues and risks to meeting timelines and deliverables.
- Develops polished executive-level presentations and confidently deliver the information to internal business associates and external clients in a clear and concise fashion.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with the supply chain and several other departments for purposes of facilitating projects and programs.
- Manages the project status reporting according to prescribed timelines for a given project.
Program Management
- Manage the Supply Chain’s Environmental Sustainability, Social Responsibility, and Governance (ESG) program by leading and continuously improving environmental data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
- Manage the enterprise-wide Contract Tool administration and analytics program
- With senior leadership execute new program initiatives as needed
Team Leader
- Responsible for the hiring, development and career pathing for all team members
- Ensure proper training and education so associates can be successful in their roles
- Ensure that all team members are fully educated on our Core Competencies
- Establish professional relationships with team to drive strategic business initiatives
MINIMUM Requirements
Education
- Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, IT or a related discipline
Experience
- Four (4) years of project management experience in a supply chain, logistics, information technology or retail-merchandising environment or experience in a related field
- One (1) year supervisory experience
- Experience managing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Functional experience in supply chain operations, logistics or retail is strongly preferred
- Supply Chain environmental and sustainability experience preferred
- Contract management tool experience a plus
- Experience working with supplier portals, EDI, and/or procurement systems is a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Familiar with project management best practices
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of process improvement
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and processes is required
- Must possess good leadership, inter-personal and motivational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills with all levels of management, end-users and peers
- Understanding of databases, logic views, query tools, and standard file layouts for conversions and interfaces are a plus
