Team/Role Overview

The GenAI team within Enterprise Excellence (in the COO org) is dedicated to developing solutions using Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Generative AI. This team is a leader in creating new ideas, innovative technology solutions, and ground-breaking solutions for COO and Other Line of Businesses within the firm.

We work closely with our clients and business partners to progress solutions from ideation to production by leveraging the entrepreneurial spirit and technological excellence.

What you’ll do

The team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ML Engineer/Developer with a strong background in developing and deploying solutions in an GenAI environment .

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for taking AI models and deploying them to production. You will collaborate closely with business partners and stakeholders to introduce and embrace these advanced technologies, elevating client experiences, delivering value to our customers, and ensuring regulatory compliance through cutting-edge technology solutions.

• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary data enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
• Utilize advanced knowledge of dataflow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
• Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
• Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Hands-On Execution and Delivery: Actively contribute to the development and delivery of AI solutions, driving innovation and excellence within the team.
• Research and Development: Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data quality management, data profiling, data cleansing tools and AI/ML.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with various teams, including product managers, engineers, and data scientists, to integrate AI technologies into products and services.

What we'll need from you

• Strong hands-on development experience in GenAI environments essential, delivering complex solutions to production.
• Python development hands-on experience is a must
• Experience with and other open-source frameworks/ libraries/ APIs like Hugging Face Transformers, Spacy, Pandas, scikit-learn, NumPy.
• Experience with evaluation, scoring with framework like ML Flow
• Experience with Postgres and Vector DBs a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
