Reporting to the Director Warehouse Operations you'll direct all warehousing activities for a defined platform and provide general direction for the managers/supervisors of the individual warehouse locations. You will manage the relationship with public (non-company) warehousing, including the negotiation of contracts and resolution of service issues. Ensure the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes while developing relationships with strategic customers through logistics plans. Integrate learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, different industry groups, and professional training to improve competitive position.

You'll develop, implement and manage cost-effective Transportation and Warehousing services for us and our customers. Support cross-functional teams that benefit supply chain efficiency, cost and service to the customer. Support transportation and warehouse plans by guiding plant agreement, data analysis, and project delivery tasks. Leading continuous improvement efforts and projects that improve supply chain processes.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage distribution services for company products through plant-based warehouses and providers.
  • Be the liaison between manufacturing operations, plant warehouses and the corporate T&W functions to agree on strategies, analyze network metrics and implement cost control measures and best practices
  • Perform audits to ensure adherence to operating procedures to ensure quality and to guide customer service.
  • Perform budget adherence reviews. Establish action plans to resolve gaps in performance.
  • Partner with Transportation Planning and Procurement to develop Transportation strategies.
  • Manage implementation of Lean Initiatives across plant-based warehouses to achieve productivity improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering to guide projects and initiatives across warehouses to deliver overall lower Total Delivered Costs.
  • Partner with cross-functional Supply Chain teams: Customer Service, S&OP and Enterprise Procurement to ensure agreement and support changes to our requirements.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related area, logistics or supply chain.
  • 5 years previous warehousing/transportation experience, including experience managing third-party relationships.
  • Experience and influencing skills necessary to manage cross-functional and third-party reporting relationships and processes.
  • Proficient in Excel (can perform complex functions)
  • SAP, Warehouse Management and Transportation Management Systems knowledge
  • Knowledge of transportation modes, transportation metrics and transportation rate structures
  • Solid knowledge of distribution operations and overall supply chain management.
  • Experience working with multiple levels of an organization.
  • Travel required approximately 25-50% depending on project startup
  • Location preferences:  Omaha NE, Chicago IL, Fort Worth TX, East of Colorado

Compensation:

Annual Base Salary: $105,000.00 - $112,000.00

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
