What to expect:

Swift is hiring a Segment Lead for the NAM (North America) Business Development team. The lead will understand the security market dynamics including competitive landscape and key trends. Their job will be to bring this knowledge to relevant key customers and to help them align their mid to long term roadmaps with Swift’s direction of travel. The SL will bring their market knowledge to and work closely with strategy, product and GTM teams as well as guiding and supporting the account managers with the customers within their segment

This role will sit within New York City and provide a hybrid work environment of 3 days/week in the office. An integral part of this effort is to find someone who has the passion and desire to drive deep engagement with our community. This position reports to the Head of North America Business Development. The individual will be focused on building client relationships, driving a vision around strategic initiatives, and driving adoption throughout the portfolio.

In this role you will:

  • Identify customer needs / market opportunities and achieve business growth by building and maintaining long term customer relationships with primarily large accounts and/or implementing initiatives of large size/complexity.
  • Develop plans for large sales accounts / initiatives in order to achieve targeted sales objectives in an optimal, cost-beneficial way.
  • Represent Swift and promote products and services in order to grow our business by participating to regional fairs and forums and meetings.
  • Liaise with other divisions/departments, commercial team managers and members in order to provide a coordinated service and integrated solution to assigned customers and feedback internally market intelligence, product issues and other relevant information.

  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with a range of customers; actively listens to and translates complex needs into appropriate solutions while remaining sensitive to the complexities of the business and Swift's commitment to integrity in all relationships; encourages others to demonstrate strong customer focus and responsiveness.
  • Communicates business strategies and approaches in challenging circumstances; adjusts communication style to optimise effectiveness in a multi-lingual environment; provides clarification of key corporate initiatives and messages; recognises and respects the points of view of others.

Requirements

  • University degree
  • At least 15+ years’ experience in the payments and securities ecosystem, of which 5 years in relationship management or consulting
  • Prior knowledge of Swift or equivalent transaction technology/software companies
  • Prior knowledge of correspondent banking

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in New York is $182,560 to $339,040 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Our compensation packages include a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity for all employees contingent on personal and company performance.
