About the Position

Art Bridges is seeking a skilled Research & Evaluation Specialist to join our dynamic team. As Research & Evaluation Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing and transforming complex data as well as assisting with the creation of actionable data reporting. Your work will play a crucial role in helping our organization make data-informed decisions and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders. The successful candidate should be a productive, self-directed individual with an attention to detail with a professional and personable communication style. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with data to tell meaningful stories through visualizations and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data analysis and maintenance of large data sets including COVES, Art Bridges grant data; incorporate other industry wide data sets as appropriate
  • Deliver strategic insights through the extraction, analysis, and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative data gathered from Art Bridges programs to inform strategic questions and deliver actionable analysis in a concise and engaging manner
  • Manage the relationships between Art Bridges and data visualization contractors
  • Support the development and implementation of internal data collection systems and dashboards via Salesforce as well as strategies that optimize data quality and efficiency
  • Develop, deploy, and analyze longitudinal surveys, which may include demographic and socioeconomic data
  • Develop and manage a process to intake, prioritize, and deliver timely data analysis and consultation to Art Bridges’ staff
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand their data collection needs, providing collaborative and effective evaluation recommendation
  • Strengthen Art Bridges’ learning culture by developing opportunities for shared meaning with staff and external partners
  • Design and facilitate engaging and effective meetings that support learning, reinforce Art Bridges’ priorities, and drive action
  • Develop processes and practices that make Art Bridges’ findings more transparent to external stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in data science, computer science, statistics, information systems, social science, or a related degree with data analysis background; or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge and experience with inferential statistics such as regressions, correlation matrixes, etc.
  • Proficiency of statistics programs such as SPSS, R, JASP, or similar programs
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and databases
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and abilities to work with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Responsive and personable with internal and external partners
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Physical demands: Position requires utilizing a computer and telephone for prolonged periods of time, good eye/hand coordination, verbal and written conversation with others, and lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs. Vision abilities required by the job include close vision. 

Work environment: Work will be performed in an office environment full-time. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate. Some overnight travel may be necessary on occasion.
