Title: Clinical Instructor (Pharmacy Technician/IV Certified)
Location: 3033 W President George Bush Highway, Plano, TX 75075
This role requires 50% travel
Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm (CST).
The Clinical Instructor (Pharmacy Technician/IV Certified) is responsible for implementing a standardized operational and technical training program.
How you will make an impact:
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Assists pharmacy trainer and pharmacy management in developing a standardized operational and technical training program for pharmacy teams including SOPs, step by step reference materials, and other training resources as assigned.
Assists in the development and maintenance of training material libraries as assigned.
Participates in policy review and updates as assigned.
Travels to Paragon sites on a regular basis as assigned and as needed for training purposes.
Collaborates with leadership to develop and execute New Hire training Programs for new pharmacy employees through one-on-one or virtual classroom-based training.
Performs scheduled follow ups as assigned with new employees to monitor performance and training effectiveness.
Documents all training performed, including employee performance, in a manner that supports compliance with accreditation standards, state/federal laws and regulations, and organization best practices.
Collaborates with management to ensure training plans and documentation is consistent and complete for all employees.
Performs pharmacy technician duties, including sterile compounding and prescription order entry, as assigned.
Continuing education necessary to maintain current licensure in all states licensed.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience.
Current State Pharmacy Tech. Certification or National Certification based on applicable state(s) required.
For Paragon and Carelon Health business unit, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.
