Videographer

Pay Details:

The starting hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour.

Summary of Position
The Videographer is responsible for capturing and producing high-quality, engaging video content that showcases the San Diego Gulls brand, with a primary focus on the team’s magazine-style show, Gulls All Access. This role requires demonstrated experience in a professional or collegiate sports environment and the ability to create compelling visual stories that resonate with fans and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in video production as well as a creative eye for storytelling in a fast-paced, dynamic sports setting.

Responsibilities

  • Capture and produce video content that meets established production standards of quality and consistency.

  • Operate and maintain industry-leading video, lighting, and audio equipment.

  • Collaborate closely with the Public Relations and Broadcast departments to plan, execute, and deliver video projects.

  • Ensure all digital assets are well-organized and cataloged to support efficient collaboration and long-term accessibility.

  • Provide creative input on video concepts and content strategies to enhance the team’s storytelling and fan engagement.

  • Assist in live event coverage, including in-arena content capture on game days.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements

  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the team’s 36+ home game schedule.

  • Prior experience in a similar role, with a portfolio of work that demonstrates strong video production skills.

  • Background in sports content creation, particularly hockey, is highly preferred but not required.

  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Creative thinker with the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and fast-paced timelines.
