A Day in the Life

At Medtronic, you will help shape the future of healthcare while ensuring strong financial foundations that enable innovation and patient impact. In this role, you will directly support UAE credit and collection operations, working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure timely collections, accurate reconciliations, and compliance with Medtronic policies.

The Credit Services Specialist – UAE plays a critical role in supporting Medtronic’s receivables management across the UAE market. You will be responsible for collection activities, dispute resolution, customer account setup, and coordination with internal stakeholders to reduce overdue balances and support healthy cash flow.
This role is essential to Medtronic’s regional performance, compliance framework, and customer experience in the UAE market.


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Own end‑to‑end credit & collection management for complex and high‑value UAE customer portfolios, ensuring alignment with Medtronic credit policies and regional objectives.
  • Lead follow‑up on critical and long‑outstanding receivables, proactively driving resolution through structured action plans and senior‑level customer engagement.
  • Act as a key escalation point for complex disputes, blocked invoices, and payment delays, coordinating closely with Sales, Customer Care, Logistics, Finance, and Legal.
  • Perform and review detailed customer account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, root‑cause analysis of discrepancies, and timely closure.
  • Provide strategic input on customer payment behaviours, risks, and mitigation actions, including recommendations for credit limits, payment terms, and escalation routes.
  • Support month‑end and quarter‑end close activities related to AR, ensuring clean balances, proper documentation, and audit readiness.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Medtronic credit policies, local regulations, and internal control requirements, proactively addressing gaps or risks.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert for UAE credit & collections processes, supporting junior team members through guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain professional and effective communication with customers via email, calls, and on‑site visits, representing Medtronic at a senior operational level.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, system enhancements (SAP / FSCM), and regional AR performance optimization projects.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in credit, collections, or cash operations.
  • Excellent communication skills in English & Arabic is a must.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet collection targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general MS Office tools.
  • Experience with SAP / FSCM is a Plus.
