Northrop Grumman’s Manufacturing Division is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Entry-Level Manufacturing Business Operations and Financial Analyst to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support our manufacturing operations through financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Additionally, the analyst will contribute to business operations by submitting inputs for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly reports, drafting presentations for executive audiences, and coordinating various operations actions and meetings. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and presentation skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support business decision-making and strategic planning.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted financial results; provide explanations and corrective actions where necessary.
- Collaborate with production managers and other departments to gather necessary information for accurate financial forecasting and reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for senior leadership.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and long-term financial planning.
- Support the financial aspects of capital expenditure projects and operational improvements.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Submit inputs to weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Draft presentations suitable for executive audiences, conveying complex financial and operational data effectively.
- Coordinate general operations actions and facilitate meetings to ensure alignment and timely completion of business objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management/Administration, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in business management, customer service, finance or related.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship experience in finance, accounting, or business operations, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial planning software.
- Experience in cost accounting and lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Salary Range: $58,200.00 - $87,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
