Job Description Summary
This role is responsible for the close out of all obligations for the GE Vernova Steam projects outside India and APAC, and will provide operations support to Steam & Hydro Asia/India/MENAT Projects Leader. The role will also be responsible to support operations for the newly created Steam & Hydro Asia/India/MENAT Projects Organization - supporting the establishment and running of the operating rhythm and identifying opportunities for the exchange of skills and talent between the legacy Steam and Hydro organizations.
Job Description
- Execute the backlog of customer commitments for Steam Projects, with focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost in that order, within the targeted range of financial outcomes, while right-sizing the employee population.
- Serve as an approachable leader that provides clear guidance, empowers and holds his/her team accountable in an inclusive and motivating style, driving collaboration and providing transparent and constructive feedback.
- Actively promote a strong culture of safety and ensure all activities adhere to safety protocols and regulations and course correct impactfully when issues arise.
- Maintain close relationships with Steam Power Services through organizational changes.
- Ensure customer relationships are well maintained.
- Manage the financial performance (P&L and Free Cash Flow).
- Develop and implement strategies to identify and mitigate risks. Work in partnership with contract management on claim exposures.
- Embrace a lean mindset to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications/Requirements
- University degree in relevant discipline.
- 15+ years’ experience in project management or similar roles.
- Experience of high-level negotiations with customers and business partners.
- Energetic and inclusive leader driving empowerment & accountability.
- Ability to take initiative and act independently with good judgement and business sense.
- Ability to make tough decisions, take balanced risk, and to strongly push back to senior management.
- Proven leadership experience in a global environment and ability to successfully.
- Function as a senior member of a management team.
