Overview of Role

We are looking for an Assistant to join our team. The incumbent will support two Client Advisers and their clients, handling administrative tasks involving close co-operation with various departments in Geneva & Zurich including other Private Banking teams, Investments Department, Credit, Payments, Legal & Compliance and Securities Administration.

We are looking for a very motivated candidate with at least 3 years of experience. Prior Avaloq experience is a strong plus. Native French and fluent English are a must in this role.

 Responsibilities

  • Preparation of documentation for clients and prospects' visits
  • Processing and monitoring the client account opening process & support to managers in relation to KYC matters
  • Contact with clients, handling clients' instructions in support of Relationship Managers:
    • Execution & monitoring of clients' instructions (transactions, trades, payments etc) 
    • Respond to client requests and provide information when required
    • Handle and monitor schedules of upcoming tasks such as instructions for deposits and loan maturities
    • Assist with preparing investment proposals
    • Provide assistance with marketing prospective clients
    • Organisation of business travel and handling of expenses reports for Relationship Managers
  • Overall coordination with other assistants in the team and report once per month

Education and Qualifications

  • Commercial or High School degree, bank apprenticeship or similar
  • Certificate in Private Banking is a plus
  • Perfect use of English and French, spoken and written. Candidates that do not master the two languages will unfortunately not be considered.
  • Strong understanding and command of MS Office, particularly Excel and Powerpoint

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant banking experience required
  • Understanding of investment/financial markets required
  • Strong communication skills in French & English (written and oral) are a pre-requisite
  • Avaloq experience is a strong advantage
  • Flexibility, positive “can-do” attitude, seeking continuous service improvement and displaying high quality standards. Team player attitude
