About Us:

Venture Insurance Agency is a wholesale commercial insurance broker that specializes in insurance for Security Guards, Alarm Companies, Private Investigators and related businesses.

Job Summary:

The Underwriting Assistant will report directly to the assigned Underwriters and will also work with the clerical associates.

Responsibilities:

· Clearing all new and renewal submissions.

· Pre-Underwriting new and renewal submissions by starting the UW Worksheet, running loss runs and requesting outstanding information from brokers/agents.

· Putting together proposals to be sent to brokers/agents.

· Sending out policies and invoices once accounts are bound.

· Assisting the underwriters with other assigned tasks.

Requirements:

· High school diploma

· Willingness to learn

Education/Experience:

· High school education

· Communication, negotiation, and math skills using Excel, Word, and Outlook programs, preferred
