Reed City Family Medicine is looking for a “Virtual” Family or Internal Medicine Physician to join their busy practice serving patients across the generational spectrum. Enjoy a flexible, four (4) day-work week in this dynamic outpatient setting. Provider and team member collaboration, coordination, and innovation is considered key to the practice's success.  The virtual physician will be responsible for managing a patient panel utilizing virtual technology in the clinic and providing education and mentorship to their APP colleagues.    Working with your clinical team, patients are seen by you virtually but with all the point of care testing you need completed in real time so that you can make the best plan of care

 

Value-based care is supplemented with Walk-In, Lab, X-ray, Behavioral Health, Pharmacist, Care Manager, Population Health Nurse,  and experienced medical assistants working one-to-one with the provider team.  Weekly huddles allow focused interventions to help you focus on taking care of your patients. Job Summary

The physician is responsible for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of the health problems presented by the patients.

Essential Functions

  • Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.
  • Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.
  • Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.
  • Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.
  • Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.
  • Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
  • Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient / family advocate.
  • Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development / application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.
  • Actively works with Spectrum Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.

  • Required Bachelor's Degree
  • LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
  • LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association If required by specialty or stress test performed 120 Days required
  • CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required
