How you will make an impact

  • Provide technical claim oversight on complex, high dollar workers compensation claims.
  • Review and authorization of reserves, settlements, and payments within delegated level of financial authority and in excess of field office authority.
  • Ensure compliance with established Claim Handling Guidelines, Litigation Guidelines and Best Practices relative to coverage, investigations, reserving, litigation management, disposition, and coding.
  • Participate in claim reviews to ensure delivery of superior levels of technical claim handling quality and customer service.
  • Interaction with business partners on large exposure claims, emerging trends and changes in statute and case law.
  • Mentoring and training of claim staff with focus on regulatory compliance, state reporting and data integrity.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by WC Senior Leadership  


What you will need to succeed

  • 10 + years claims adjusting experience within a claim technical operation, in-depth understanding of Workers’ Compensation claim handling and servicing requirements. 
  • Analytical skills with strong business acumen and ability to work across organization in matrix reporting relationships
  • Strong (oral / written) communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred
  • Technical expertise in one or more claim functions
  • Career development, mentoring and coaching skills
