Senior Product Designer

As a Senior Product Designer in Zip’s Acquisition team, you’ll be working and contributing to the build of Zip’s new product and new feature development for millions of customers across Australia. 

This Senior Product Designer will be working end-to-end, across UX, interaction and UI design. You'll work closely with a cross-functional team to ship and deliver quality products, and understand how to prioritise in a fast paced environment. 

Acquisition has a range of stakeholders engaged from across the business, and therefore a big part of this role is stakeholder management. We’re looking for a strong communicator who feels comfortable liaising with our Chief Product Officer, Credit Risk, Fraud etc. 

If you feel comfortable with the above and you’re someone who enjoys leading pieces of work / confident working autonomously, this could be the role for you! 

This is a hybrid role based out of our Sydney CBD office (2 days in office minimum). Being a 6 month fixed-term contract this position may get extended, however there are no guarantees. What you’ll bring to the team

  • A self-starter with 5+ years working in interaction & product design
  • Have a portfolio that demonstrates app & web design experiences that showcase:
    - Driving strong business outcomes
    - Passion for design thinking methods and a deep understanding of design practices
    - Attention to detail and a strong visual sensibility & interaction design
    - Well informed design direction & solutions that scale 
  • Experienced communicator who is passionate about storytelling and the ability to turn insights into thoughtful narratives utilising data. You’re accomplished at conveying complex concepts clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences, both verbally and in writing 
  • Collaborative by nature and adept at facilitating workshops & discussions as well as negotiating with other disciplines and advocating for high quality experiences
  • Experienced conducting lean design experiments that target customer pain points and key business metrics
  • Prioritise competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with and contributing to design systems
