About the role

This role will be responsible for VRF System design, product performance & qualification as per ISO standards, Configure VRF systems including outdoor/indoor unit selection and system balancing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and optimize the refrigeration cycle

• Optimize product performance, energy efficiency, and cost through simulation insights.

• VRF System design, product performance & qualification as per ISO standards

• Apply in-depth knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning cycles for system optimization.

• Configure VRF systems including outdoor/indoor unit selection and system balancing.

• Perform system performance simulations using MBD (Model-Based Design) methodologies

• Work with sourcing team for development of system related parts

• Coordinate with design centers for substitution of process/material based on local requirements/availability if required

• Support sourcing team to validate vendor process and establish assurance findings to improve reliability over product life cycle

• Product Customization as per India business specific requirement

• Good knowledge of Engineering changes process

• Document control

• Drive Value Analysis / Value Engineering initiatives to improve product cost efficiency.

EDUCATION PREFERRED:

Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical Engineering

M.Tech: Heat transfer / HVACR would be an added advantage

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

Target experience level: 5+ years in HVAC Light commercial / VRF products.

Required Skills:

• Refrigeration/ air conditioning cycle

• Product development projects

• HVAC Product Testing, Product performance & qualification

• Knowledge of VRF & AC ISO standards

• Understanding of system components

• Selection of HVAC components

• Understanding of VRF System

• Design Simulations

• Knowledge of MBD & Simulation software’s

Essential Competencies/ Primary Skill Set:

• Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles and HVAC fundamentals.

• Hands-on experience in VRF system design and configuration.

• Experience in HVAC product testing and performance analysis with good understanding of Thermal engineering, Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics etc

• Proficiency in simulation and modelling tools.

• Understanding of ISO standards related to air conditioning systems and global compliance requirements.

• Conversant with design of controls for HVAC systems

• Exposure to Inverter technology, VRF

• Exposure to product life cycle management tool

• Experience in HVAC product development environments.

• Exposure to VAVE and cost optimization projects.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
